Rejected petition Proscribe Britain First as a terrorist organisation.

The Home Secretary may proscribe an organisation if she believes it is “concerned in terrorism”. The current Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, today in Parliament described Britian First as an "extremist organisation".

Britain First: founded by Jim Dowson (links to Ulster paramilitaries) and Paul Golding (British National Party). Golding and deputy Jayda Fransen convicted of aggrevated harassment. Linked to the murder of MP Jo Cox, acid attacks, and to targeting of mosques for attacks. It's FB group promotes a racist ideology of Britain under attack from foreign muslims, and propaganda to promote hatred. It has set up "self-defence training camps, teaching its supporters how to fight with knives.
