This petition was submitted during the 2017–2019 Conservative government

Rejected petition Request Home Office to speed up the process of the asylum applications.

1)Asylum seekers are in UK facing long delays on their initial decision. some applications more than 2 years.
2)The time frame given by UKVI is 6 months.
3) Asylum seekers are forced to live on benefits and housing until case is decided.

More details

I truly believe that UKVI must speed up the process like other countries and decide application in weeks could save lots of money and that money can invest in NHS etc.. Or let them live freely by working and paying tax until case is decided rather than forcing them live on benefits.
