PIP assessments for mental health should be carried out by mental health professionals.
I have been diagnosed with manic depression and been unable to claim PIP even though I meet all of the criteria, I'm now having to appeal which will eventually end up in a tribunal which will cost £100's and I'm

not alone, so many of us that suffer from manic depression get rejected on PIP even though we all struggle, we then have more stress incurred through rejected appeals and hundreds of pounds from the government waisted for it to be over turned by the judge, if we just followed correct procedure and carried out the assessment properly with qualified memeber's of staff we would not only save money but also stress and potentially triggering worse episodes.
