Closed petition Make all, or most left turn traffic lights into permanent 'GIVE WAY' junctions

In order to reduce emissions of the country, especially in cities, all filter traffic lights and wherever safe, turning left should be on a giving way to the flow of traffic on the road you're joining basis, this would reduce journey times, congestion, and the amount of traffic remaining stationary.

This is guaranteed to reduce emissions on cars of all ages and fuel types, as well as saving fuel or battery power. This will also keep the aspect of safety given by traffic lights, for example, at a 4 way junction, traffic heading straight on or right would still be on a light based rotation.
