Bring back the death penalty for murder and treason. Make a life prison sentence mean for the remainder of the natural life of the felon, and, reinstate hard labour and the birch as punishment options to be handed down by the judiciary.
Crime is out of control and multiple murderers and rapists are sentenced and released only to reoffend. These people should be executed so are no longer are a threat to society, nor, for prison terms, are a burden to the tax payer as these felons can offer no contribution to society.
