Sir David Attenborough, long may he continue to both enlighten and entertain us, is more deserving of a state funeral than any other British citizen of the past 46 years given his outstanding contribution to British cultural life. Generations have been informed and enthralled by his genius natural history programming for over 50 years now, so let's do what we can to try to make sure he's honoured by the state in the right way!
