Petition Changing a man's name after marriage.

Currently in the UK men are unable to use a marriage certificate as proof to change their name when taking their wife's last name. However woman are allowed to use a marriage certificate as proof to take the mans name. A man has to change his name by deed poll, a woman does not.

I believe in equality and for that reason a marriage certificate should be proof enough to change your name even if you are a man taking your wife's name, or a man taking your husband's name.
