Closed Make branding or freeze branding of animals a criminal offence in the UK

Many horses and cattle in the UK are branded using heated iron or frozen metal (freeze branding). This is cruel, causing severe pain and is unnecessary when micro-chipping is cheap and quick. It could even be made illegal without new legislation by enforcing existing anti-cruelty laws.
