Rejected petition To stop including Christian blasphemy (ie “Oh My God etc) from TV and Radio.
Any other religion would not stand for having their god's name in vain, and neither will Christians. Enough is enough. Our God’s name is plastered everywhere being used in vain. THIS IS NOT ON. It is time to say enough.
More details
“You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.”
Exodus 20:7 NLT.
This is one of the Ten Commandments and Christians feel very strongly about keeping them. However hearing it frequently on the TV and Radio can cause offence and upset.
I request that respect is given to this topic and to the Christian religion and “Oh My God”, “Jesus Christ” and “God” etc is removed from the language used as expletives in broadcasts.
