Rejected petition Change the wording of the Revenge Porn Law regarding intent to cause distress

The Revenge Porn law states that it is a crime for anyone to share images or videos of a sexual nature without their consent and with the purpose of causing distress or embarassment. This means that someone sharing these images for their own gratification is technically not committing a crime.

More details

The wording of the law should be changed as anyone who has had images shared of a sexual nature, without their consent, is a victim of Revenge Porn. The intention may not have been to distress or embarrass, but that is ultimately what it results in.
