Petition Ban all advertising boards on the side of motorways.

Drivers are constantly being threatened with prosecution if they use mobile phones, smoke, vape or do anything that distracts them from driving. Motorway advertising is specifically designed to distract drivers. Some of them have animation and can be very bright by using neon type lighting.

It is a central argument of the government that distractions such as mobile phones etc can affect the driving ability of road users. The same evidence and research can be used to argue that advertising boards have the same effect and are therefore dangerous.
