Rejected petition Make it legal for 16 year olds to get a tattoo

At 16 we already have freedoms such as being able to move out, consent to sexual activity, consent to medical treatment and join the armed forces. Therefore I don’t see why we can’t legally get a tattoo which is a very common form of expression.
The Tattoing of minors act was passed in 1969, given how Britain has changed over the years and how public ideology and taboos have evolved I consider this act to be quite outdated in todays society.
