Rejected petition Allow parents waiting areas within theatre departments operating on their child.
It is current policy in certain UK hospitals not to allow parents a waiting area within or near the theatre department operating on their child at the time of the operation.
Instead parents are asked to return to the wards which are often up to 10-15 min walk away from their child.
