Closed Nationalise the 3rd party element of vehicle insurance to benefit young drivers.

My partner's daughter's insurance was £2000 per annum for any car before any accidents at the age of 18. She now has had an accident that wasn't her fault and the new premium will be £4000 per annum. She cannot use public transport to get to her job. This premium represents more than half her wages.

Any alternative system exists in New Zealand and is quoted by Wikipedia as follows - "Within New Zealand, the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) provides nationwide no-fault personal injury insurance.[9] Injuries involving motor vehicles operating on public roads are covered by the Motor Vehicle Account, for which premiums are collected through levies on petrol and through vehicle licensing fees."
