Rejected petition To stop shops from automatically printing paper receipts

Receipts are often coated with BPA which produce potentially toxic chemicals when recycled with paper, and as a result cannot be recycled. Many people don't need or want their receipts so retailers are wasting paper and money by printing receipts.
There should be an option to print the receipt.
