Closed Secretary of State for Northern Ireland should call a Border Poll on Irish unity

The Good Friday Agreement states that the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland must call a border poll on Irish unity if at any time it appears likely that a majority of those voting would express a wish that Northern Ireland should cease to be part of the UK and form part of a united Ireland.

Unfortunately the Good Friday Agreement does not state exactly how the SoS will judge the wishes of the majority.

We believe the question needs put to the people of NI so either way the discussion can be put to bed.
