With the alarming increase in youth violence, it is crucial to not only prevent it spreading- but to help those already involved. A criminal record can lessen the chance of employment, and without being taught necessary skills and given support those young people may fall back into their old ways.

Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights state that we have a right to education, and educating young offenders on ways in which they can turn their lives around and overcome all adversities is better than any national curriculum.
