Petition Lower the retirement age for frontline road and call takers ambulance staff

65 is the retirement age for ambulance staff. This type of work is too much at this age. Carrying patients, 12 hour shifts, night shifts and the type of jobs we see. We have a high mortality rate. We need to be brought in line with fire staff and police staff.

More details

There is evidence that ambulance staff have a mortality rate of 2 years post retirement. At a time when our staff should be relaxing after caring so much for so many years many are being taken from us too early. Reduce the retirement age
