Women who miscarry within maternity leave time are entitled to their maternity leave and full 6 weeks’ pay if required. If outside of this time, women can be left with weeks of physical problems and emotional stress.

The physical strain on a woman’s body during a complicated and incomplete miscarriage can be dangerous. These women need to be sufficiently supported and entitled to paid time off for appointments and recovery.
