This petition was submitted during the 2017–2019 Conservative government

Rejected petition PM to disclose interests her husband and self have regarding medicinal cannabis.

It has been disclosed via mainstream media that Teresa May and her Husband have financial interests in regards to medicinal cannabis yet as home secretary and as PM she has blocked any change in legislation. She has not commented on this matter but should explain this hypocrisy to the people.

More details

So the PM's husband has a financial interest in medicinal cannabis yet she has on many occasions stated that there is "no medicinal value" as both the home secretary where she would've awarded licenses to grow cannabis for medicinal research and as PM where she allows the sale of medicinal cannabis to anyone other than the British people.

She must explain to the house and the people this level of hypocrisy.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The House of Commons already has rules that require MPs to register and declare financial interests. You can find out more about the rules here:

If you'd like a specific change to the rules, you could start a new petition asking for that change.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
