Closed petition Make it compulsory for 14-16 year olds to learn working life skills in school
Closed on
It should be a compulsory part of the national curruculum for all students between the ages of 14-16 to be taught how to create a basic household budget, how to apply for job vacancies, how to conduct themselves at interviews, how to keep documentation of job's they have applied for.
Stated above are fundamental subjects that should be covered within the national curriculum,as they are crucial life skills that will prepare our young people for a sturdy working life. As a parent of a school leaver i am teaching my child these things,i have a huge interest in my child's past and future education, however not all parents are equipped with the knowledge to teach life skills to their children,so i believe making it a compulsory subject in schools is the best way forward.
