Closed Temporary blue badges to be available for those who are incapacitated short term

In 2016 I had foot surgery, I was in plaster cast, followed by a surgical boot. During this time when I was taken to the shops, I was actually more incapacitated than a lot of those who were able to use the disabled parking spaces.

I have contacted West Sussex County Council and my MP in relation to this matter to be told basically that the Blue Badge legislation only currently allows badges to be issued to people with permanent conditions and has a severe impact on their ability to walk and funding.
