Englishmen and women, the majority of Englands population, should have the right to describe themselves as English.
Welsh people come from Wales, Scottish people come from Scotland, Irish people come from Ireland, so why are English people described as British when we are English.
Great Britain is an amalgamation of all the countries and anyone who is granted nationality here is British.
I feel England is losing its identity as a Country and this is very sad indeed.
We call upon the government to ensure that in its forms, questionnaires and any communications requiring knowledge of nationality that the word English is used as well as Scottish, Welsh, Irish etc.
