Rejected petition Make not wearing tops in places that sell food an offence, civil or criminal

During the hot weather in the UK there have been some hot days and many people have taken to not wearing tops to cover their chests. Often people are in places that sell food not wearing tops. This calls into question hygiene. People do not want to see people topless when they are eating food.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure whether you'd like this law to apply only to palces where people can buy and eat food (such as restaurants or cafes) or anywhere that sells food, including shops and supermarkets.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
