Rejected petition We would like to make BODY SHAMING illegal.
I'm a woman that is totally sick to death of seeing women being shamed in the newspapers, magazines and on social media.
As a woman who has become influential I believe that it's my responsibility to create change. For the next generation. This would help save LIVES! This has to stop.
More details
We are seeing suicides. Depression. Eating disorders. Women attacking other women. And men! This has to be made an offence. Magazines have to be made to stop this disgraceful behaviour. Online body shaming should be no longer acceptable.
I along with my sister have created a movement of women who are saying NO. This can no longer continue.
We are the directors of Mums in business association and we are asking for change.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about the representation of women in the media, but we're not sure exactly what you mean by "we would like to make BODY SHAMING illegal". For example, we're not exactly what behaviour you'd like to be defined as body-shaming.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
