Rejected petition on brexit MPs to vote the way the majority of voters did in the constituency

It seems that a lot of mps are voting against the will of their constituents, even tho the referendum stated we would leave completely, therefore if the majority of voters( say 60%) voted to leave their MP must vote leave as that is the will of the majority

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

How an MP votes would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

You could ask your own MP to vote according to the result of referendum in your constituency. You can find out who your MP is and how to contact them here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
