More details

The RNLI did a survey in 2014 pointing out the dangers of a permanent rip topographical rip current due to the man made structure to protect the promenade and stop erosion on Tywyn Beach. Gwynedd Council have ignored the RNLI's advice and gone with a Beach Warden instead, who are not Lifeguard trained. The devestating impact of this was brought home again this summer on the 31St of July, they are standing by their decision and refusing once again to put lifeguards on this beach. The local people I have spoken to want lifeguards too as they know it's a danger. How many more people have to die due to their inept attitude
