Closed Change English law such that an offer on a house is a binding contract

Making it a more binding contract to offer on a house would help speed up moving house and prevent people spending thousands of pounds only for their buyer to withdraw or the seller to accept to a higher bid. This is how the system works in Scotland.

Twice this year I have accepted offers on my property and spent money in solicitors fees only for them to pull out. I think once an offer is made on a property it should be made harder in law for a person to pull out of buying that property.
