Rejected petition Make the Metropolitan Police re-open the Operation Takahe investigation

Since 2015 the Met Police, alongside the RSPCA & SNARL, have been investigating the killings & mutilations of over 500 animals under an investigation name Operation Takahe. On the 20th September 2018 the Met Police closed the investigation, concluding the deaths were caused by RTA & fox predation

More details

Both SNARL and the families of the animals killed are certain foxes are not responsible for the mutilations and that a person(s) are responsible, this is due to postmortem evidence from vets involved in the case.

It is vital that Met Police re-open this investigation & that sufficient resources are dedicated to finding those responsible.
