This petition was submitted during the 2017–2019 Conservative government

Rejected petition Remove ‘Halal! is it me you’re looking for?’ adverts by Muzmatch dating agency.

‘Halal’ is synonymous with religious slaughter of animals - an unacceptable practice for many people of other or no religions in the UK. It is therefore highly offensive for this word to be used in a light-hearted advertising campaign. The religious slaughter of sentient beings is not a joke.
