Closed Reclassify the antihistamine fexofenadine hydrochloride from POM to P.

There should be greater availability of more powerful antihistamines which can help to reverse the allergic reaction process in the very early stages. Fexofenadine hydrochloride is available at pharmacies in many European countries, UAE, Japan and Australia.

According to Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (May, 2016) as part of a freedom of information request, the drug remains as classified as a prescription only medicine (POM) in the UK.
Many deaths could be prevented as a result of reclassification to P, where the drug can be made more accessible by being issued under the supervision of a pharmacist.
