Closed petition Remove disability exemptions for the armed forces from the 2010 Equality Act

Closed on

I was recently rejected by the Lancaster UOTC because of my Autism even though during their selection day in Liverpool I passed all their selection tests and completed all the required paperwork. They rejected me because I declared that I had a medical condition (Autism)

They rejected me because I declared on one of the medical forms that I have a medical condition (Autism). I had to declare it as it was a legal requirement.

Autism is not included, yet on other British Army medical forms, one must disclose their Autism, and in turn they can be discriminated against because of this due to the exemption from parts of the Equality Act 2010.
