In many other countries conjugal visits are permitted. However, in the U.K. it is not permitted. the biggest advantages of allowing conjugal visits is prisoners tend to follow the rules for fear of losing their right to have a visit. Moreover, the biggest advantage is families no longer suffer.

Conjugal visits are allowed in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, india, Israel, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Spain. In the US, conjugal visits are not allowed in Federal prisons, but California, New York, Mississippi, Washington, and Connecticut permit them.
