Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Equality Act don't name specific medical conditions. In most cases, it’s the impact on the person’s life that qualifies them for support or protection under the law.
You can find out more about showing that you're disabled under the Equality Act here:
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to support people who are suffering from sickle cell disease.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
