Rejected petition Make cyclist adhere to the same road laws as motorists

Motorists have to pay hundreds of pounds a year to be on the road only to be stuck behind cyclists that aren’t using the cycle highways being built. Cyclists get to use the road for free and some a clueless as to how use the road.

Cyclists should be made to do riding lessons, a theory test, obtain a licence, pay road tax, pay insurance, have mirrors and a licence plate same as any other road vehicle. When cyclists are involved in accidents nothing happens to them. They ride past and scratch a car they can just ride off and us motorists are stuck with the bill and it’s unfair and time to change.
