With the parliament approving the proposal to double the payment from £200 to £400 per year per individual applicant for Immigration Health Surcharge requirement, it puts another burden to the health and social care sector nurse immigrants from non-eu trained nurses.

UK is already struggling with recruiting nurses both locallu and internationally, putting the IHS twice the cost makes it even harder.

Exempting nurses with the current increase can help address the issue with recruiting nurses.
