Rejected petition Make punishment for animal cruelty increased to custodial sentences

Animal cruelty is on the rise and punishment is currently not strong enough to deter it. In some cases the most horrific abuse suffered by these animals is punished with the guilty party ONLY banned from keeping pets. This may also only be for a few years. This should carry a custodial sentence.
