The rise in atmospheric CO2 since pre-industrial times has caused the climate to warm and start potentially irreversible changes to the environment

Examples of what Parliament needs to be able to challenge:
1. Encouragement of aviation by approving the 3rd runway at Heathrow, and failure to tax aviation fuel appropriately.
2. Endorsing and funding road infrastructure instead of on-shore and offshore wind turbine projects.
3. Withdrawing support for the Swansea Bay Tidal Project lagoon.
4. Nursing the new fracking industry(which releases the more hazardous methane as well as CO2) in spite of the need to keep fossil fuels underground.
