Closed Outlaw service charges on bar/restaurant bills

It should be illegal for bars and restaurants to add extra charges on to bills. The cost of a meal should be included in the price on the menu. Staff should not have to rely on tips to get a living wage, but should be paid properly.

Customers should not feel obliged at the end of a meal to pay for what can feel like an extra meal price. In addition, the service provided by restaurants is not always justifiable to warrant paying a service charge.
