Rejected petition Allow students to do physical education with mixed genders

We should allow students (who are mostly trans,non-binary or genderfluid etc) for one day a week(pe is usually twice a week) to choose if they feel they want to either mix or have their lesson with boys or girls.This might reduce feelings where students feel uncomfortable with their gender etc.

We can't accept your petition because this would the responsibility of the school and not the UK Government or Parliament.

Government guidance does not require schools to separate children for physical education, although it does say schools can separate by sex if it is appropriate. It would therefore be a decision for the school.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
