Closed petition Amend 'Coercive Control' legislation to include abuse post-separation

Closed on

Survivors of domestic abuse are experiencing continued coercion & control years after leaving. Harassment laws should protect them from perpetrators. When they share children lines can be blurred and survivors may no longer be protected.

This gap in the law is ruining lives and letting abuse continue.

A 'Survivors Empowered' survey showed 91% of survivors with children experienced continued coercive control after leaving.

86% believe this abuse still affects their children.

"Every contact handover was used to intimidate, control & verbally abuse me. I never felt safe & was told to endure it for my children's sake" Survivor

"He turns up all hours 'to see the kids.' I have PTSD and I'll never be free of him."
