Closed petition Fund mental health recovery scheme interventions for traumatised under 16s

Closed on

When young people have been through adverse traumatic experiences, their health and well being is affected leading to illnesses, absence from school, low self morale and reduced life expectancy. Attending informed trauma recovery schemes, aids in resilience and improvement in their mental health.

Public Health England believes recovery interventions, support improvement in mental health (PHE 2014).
Children and young people who have suffered abuse or trauma, become affected and begin to develop behaviour which people don’t understand, but are, the effects of the abuse and trauma. For example, increase in gangs, knife and gun crimes among others.
Informed trauma recovery intervention schemes can aid in changes to such adverse states and improve mental health, wellbeing and education.
