I Lost my Princess Macy aged 2 due to unawareness of blind cords! Corded blinds and the dangers are not common knowledge! Corded blinds are dangerous full stop for children many blinds from before 2014 are not child safety fitted this needs to change!!

In 2014 a new law was brought in, many people in the blind industry have said the new law that has come in is still sketchy!! It’s ok these new blinds being made child safety fitted but many house holds still have old blinds and are not aware off the new laws regarding corded blinds.

Corded blinds need banning and those people who have the old type need warning of the dangers of the blinds. The Government should also start an awareness raising campaign, to make people aware of these dangers.
