Closed petition Make it a legal requirement for all public places to have baby change facilities

Closed on

Currently there is no law in the UK requiring public places (restaurants, hotels etc) to provide baby change facilities. When visiting restaurants, parents are often asked to change their babies’ nappies on the vacant tables or seats. This is a health hazard and an embarrassment for the parents.

From budget to five star hotels to high street restaurants are asking their customers to change their babies on vacant tables because no other available/suitable space on their premises. It should be a legal requirement to provide a safe, clean space inside customer toilets to change babies. This is something business can achieve for a minimal cost.
