Closed Raise awareness of the penalties of misuse of the Blue Badge

Blue badge holders need to be made more aware of the penalties of allowing others to use the badge when they are not present in the vehicle. Abuse of the badge also means that designated parking spaces are being taken at the expense of those in society that need them the most.

These risks can include fines of up to £1000 and removal of the badge. The government needs to raise awareness via marketing and the media regarding the issue and more explicit information needs to be given to badge holders, further, the wider family needs more education on use of the badge.
