We must return to the earlier system to ensure that employees have the right to sue their employer for health and safety breaches or injuries.

Section 47 of the HASAWA 1974 restrict employee from taking civil proceedings against employer for failure to comply with the health and safety law. This is against the spirit of the health and safety legislation and natural justice. It is also not compatible with access to justice under Human Rights Act 1998.
