It is now clear that our political structures and processes are no longer fit for purpose to deal with issues of this nature. We should look at ways of reforming our political, media and electoral landscape to serve us better.

Evidence:
- The cost of trying to achieve Brexit from the referendum to the present day.
- The mis-truth, lies and propaganda that were allowed to persist and targeted to individuals via sophisticated social media campaigns.
- The spectacle, both here and abroad, of both main political parties tying themselves in knots over an issue they should have considered long before even suggesting a referendum on the subject.

The referendum in 2016 - Should it have had a 75% approval set?
Is the current first past the post electoral system still fit for purpose in the 21st century?
Is an independent Media regulator a requirement?
