Closed To make it a prison offence if found to be carrying a knife in a public place.

There can be no excuse for anyone to carry a knife in public for anything other a trade or profession. Knife crime is growing exponentially and without a suitable deterrent will continue to do so.

Zero tolerance. Offenders will go to prison on a first offence for a minimum of 12 months.
