Closed Ban the use of Piercing Guns in the UK

Ear piercing guns cannot be sterilized, Antiseptic wipes commonly used to clean these guns after use do not remove bacteria or bloodborne pathogens, an example: Hepatitis C. Single use needles should only be used and only by a licensed professional body piercer.

-They cause blunt force trauma to the area and unessasary scarring
-They regularly malfunction (trapped jewellery or pierces only half way through the ear lobe or cartalidge causing discomfort & pain especially for a child)
-Low quality jewelry is used which dont allow for swelling (each person is different) this can then cause the butterfly back to become embedded into the ear resulting in hospital visits & even surgical removal.
-They are inacurate and are used by staff with limited training.
