Rejected petition End animal testing and Replace it with Humane testing

I was in an RE lesson and we watched a video on animal testing and It made me so sad

There are more Humane ways to test products other than on animals. I think we could save so many animals lives if we tested products on living brain cells and things like that

Why was this petition rejected?
